We used to talk in unschooling circles about encouraging our kids to make Big Hairy Audacious Goals (BHAGs). Now, I see a lot of people calling them Big Scary Goals (BSGs). Whatever they are called, they are doing hard and scary things to meet or exceed wild dreams. They aren’t my thing. At least, that’s what I thought. Then a few months ago, my life was changed. Now, I am on a mission, and that includes doing the things that scare me to bits in order to complete my mission. Aaaaaccccckkkk!

This is exciting and scary. Very scary. All of this is so far out of my comfort zone that it’s nearly impossible to put into words. Let me start with INFJ. A few weeks ago, we were watching some Blimey Cow videos on YouTube, and Jordan was talking about 16personalities. We all decided to take the test, and it was fascinating to see, especially since there are nine of us. Yep, I’m some kind of unicorn in this world of people. Only 1% of the population falls into this particular personality profile. Hahahaha! Of course. It really does explain so much about my entire adult life. The insights were spot on, and it made me realize that if this passion of mine is going to come to fruition, I’m going to have to figure out how to do things in a way that works for me. They won’t be easy, but they won’t be impossible.

When you know for sure, deep in your bones, that you have been put in a place for a purpose, it is imperative that you do everything you can to fight some of your weaknesses. There is so much important work that needs to be done in the world. One-on-one, we have special gifts to share that can help other people whether with renewed hope, renewed health, or an opportunity for financial freedom. We need to push through and find the people who are looking for what we have to share. Otherwise, what are we even doing here? At least that’s what I’ve taken away from all of this…which is so INFJ of me.

Have you ever decided that you were going to work to reach any BSGs? What did you do first? How did it turn out?
